Announcing the Sound Systems Podcast!

Engagement spiked during our October 27th office hours when a participant asked how to establish an Airtable Center of Excellence within their media organization. My answer struck a nerve when I exposed the critical mistake that prevents most companies from ever getting theirs off the ground: user permissions.

"Airtable is like a Michelin star restaurant," I said. "Would you let customers cook the food?". Airtable is nothing until you build it, so who you allow into the kitchen becomes your most critical decision. This topic matters so much that we're dedicating our entire December 11th user group session to it (2pm ET, register here).

That spirit of shared expertise inspired us to launch something new: its called Sound Systems, a podcast featuring day-to-day insights from top music industry operators. Our debut episode dropped today with Ryan Hamilton, founder of Catalog Management Services, who advises owners of the world's most profitable music rights catalogs.

Ryan unpacks catalog digital strategy secrets, strategic buyers vs. private equity, music tech founder mistakes, and why he believes there's no such thing as a passive catalog.
